At the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, we are proud to work with partners who share our values and commitment to excellence. One shining example is Emma, the Mobile Manager from our catering provider, whose dedication and positivity have made a remarkable impact across our Kent schools. We’re thrilled to share that Emma was nominated for the prestigious Chartwells ‘Be A Star’ Award! This incredible recognition highlights her unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service across our schools.
The ‘Be A Star’ Award, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland’s recognition programme, honours frontline heroes who go above and beyond in roles like catering, healthcare, education, and more. It’s a platform to celebrate individuals who consistently exceed expectations, and Emma’s continued dedication truly shines through.
Emma plays a vital role in the daily operations of our school’s catering services, supporting multiple sites with energy, professionalism, and an ever-present smile. Her presence is uplifting, and her ability to connect with staff and pupils alike is truly special.
Jessica, a colleague who nominated Emma for this award, reflected, “This past Christmas, Emma’s efforts were particularly outstanding during a series of gingerbread workshops at New Horizons Children’s Academy. Over 600 children took part in festive baking sessions, and Emma was instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly. “From preparing and delivering the gingerbread to managing the sessions and cleaning up afterward, Emma’s organisation and enthusiasm were second to none. “What stood out most was Emma’s thoughtful approach to inclusion. She created a dedicated station for children with allergies, ensuring they could participate safely and joyfully. Her attention to detail and care for every child’s experience did not go unnoticed.”
