Little Thinkers at Kings Ash celebrates positive Ofsted outcome with strong recognition for inclusion and leadership

Little Thinkers Nursery based at Kings Ash Academy is celebrating a successful Ofsted inspection that recognised the setting's nurturing environment, strong leadership and commitment to inclusive early years education.

Inspectors praised the nursery for creating a welcoming environment where children are able to thrive, describing children as "happy, confident and curious to explore the world around them" and noting that they "clearly feel safe, settled and secure" in their surroundings.

The report highlighted the strong progress children make during their time at the nursery, finding that children "progress well from their starting points and develop the skills they need for their next stage of learning."

A particular highlight of the inspection was the achievement of Strong Standards in both Inclusion and Leadership and Governance.

Inspectors recognised the dedication of staff in supporting all children, noting that "staff know children well" and are quick to identify and respond to individual needs. The report also praised the team's commitment to children with special educational needs and disabilities, describing the "passion and dedication" shown by leaders and staff in ensuring every child receives the best possible start.

Leadership at the nursery was also commended, with Ofsted stating that "leaders are reflective and adaptive" and have "high expectations of themselves and staff" while remaining ambitious for every child.

The inspection further recognised the positive relationships at the heart of the nursery, highlighting that "staff build warm, trusting, respectful relationships with children." Children's personal development was another key strength, with inspectors noting that "children's personal, social and emotional skills flourish."

Jo Mitchell, Nursery Manager at Little Thinkers, said:

"We are incredibly proud of this outcome and of the hard work, care and dedication shown by our entire team every day. It is particularly pleasing to see our commitment to inclusion and high-quality early years education recognised so positively by Ofsted.

"The report reflects the warm, nurturing environment we strive to create, where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. We would also like to thank our families for their continued support and partnership, which plays such an important role in our success."

Sonia Nickerson, Trust Lead for Early Years at Thinking Schools Academy Trust, added:

"This inspection outcome is a fantastic achievement for Little Thinkers and reflects the commitment of staff to delivering exceptional early years experiences for children and families.
