Luke Jeffrey, took on the challenge to fund new kits for the school’s football teams as participation in the sport continues to grow within the community. These funds ensure more young people can enjoy the benefits of team sport, feeling a sense of identity and pride when representing their school.
Speaking about his extraordinary achievement, Luke highlighted the wider impact these kits will have on his pupils:
"These new football kits will give our pupils an increased sense of pride and belonging when representing the school football teams. Having high-quality, matching kits will help to raise confidence which matches the amount of footballing talent here at Kings Ash Academy".
This fundraising effort not only has a tangible impact on teaching and learning within the school's P.E. department, but it also shines a light on the strong community spirit between pupils, staff and families.
Luke recognised how the school's tight-knit community helps young people achieve more:
"This fundraiser highlights the strong sense of community which exists at Kings Ash Academy. By taking on the Torbay Half Marathon, I wanted to directly support our pupils, while also demonstrating the commitment that staff, families and the wider community have in giving them the best possible opportunities".
