The ongoing work to implement the new People Strategy to promote and inclusive and diverse workplace has played a key part in this shortlisting.
The Trust also achieved a significant moment in 2024 by becoming the first Multi-Academy Trust to be shortlisted with both Investors in People and Investors in Wellbeing simultaneously.
A spokesperson for Thinking Schools Academy Trust said:
“We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Trust Employer of the Year Award and look forward to networking with many other academy trusts at the ceremony later this year. At TSAT, we are proud of our progress and remain steadfast in our commitment to being recognised as a great employer. Our People Strategy is more than a plan, it is a promise to our staff that we will continue to prioritise their wellbeing, growth, and success as we build an environment where everyone can thrive.”
And elsewhere with Thinking Solutions for Education, which provides expert services to schools within the Thinking Schools Academy Trust and across the UK, the company has been shortlisted for the ‘Rising Company of the Year’ awards for the same event.
The company puts the profits it makes from its HR, finance, fitness, marketing and facilities services back into the Thinking Schools Academy Trust to positively benefit the schools which form its family.
The company has expanded since it began in 2016, generating income efficiencies of £280,000 for Thinking Schools Academy Trust with a net profit of £8,000.
“TSfE’s commitment to the wider education sector is anchored in TSAT’s core values of trust, solution-focus, approachability, and timeliness in its services to schools” says Lee Miller MBE, who formed the successful structure and approach to support schools.
“The scalable systems and structures enable schools of all sizes to benefit from economies of scale, promoting equity and efficiency in education. This inclusive approach ensures that resources and expertise are accessible to schools regardless of their individual circumstances” he said.
Congratulations to all staff who play an essential part in both of these shortlisted awards.
